Living in Vermont, I would believe it when I see it. Sometimes our HIGH is ten below. Right now we haven't been above the freezing mark since Jan 4 and ten degrees feels warm. Even with that, we have had a 25 mile ride and drive (hottest day this month, 27) and two sleigh rallies. Sleigh rallies are supposed to be cold so we can wear all of our grandmothers furs! I am currently using a 1/5 hp circulating pump to keep a 100 gallon tank ice free and it works just great. The heat from the motor warms the water and the movement prevents any icing. Much more economical than a water heater and the horses like it better. Here is the website for the solar troughs:http://www.premierpub.com/amesco/default.htmJohn and Sue Greenall mailto:greenall@xxxxxxxxxxxxx http://www.vermontel.com/~greenall John, How do you protect the electrical cord from inquisitive horse teeth?
