Here's me jealous of all you with hubbies that support your habits!
Mine reluctantly 'allowed' the horse to come into our lives...and has
reluctantly made purchases (with or without his knowledge) since her
arrival. If I have to go out of town (leaving him at home) I have to hire
someone to take care of her as he won't even go out to the barn. Yep, he
gave her to me and a means of transporting her, but it would be nice to come
home from a ride (training or otherwise) and have someone understand the joy I'm
feeling...guess I'll just whisper it in Holly's ear the next time we're on the
trail
This year we get a remodeled barn. :) ("Merry
Christmas honey, have a 2x4.") We wrapped the boxes for the
automatic waterers just so the tree could have something under it. I
sure understand the value of a husband who supports my horse
addiction. He rides as well, but is not nearly so obsessed as I
am.
I did get my first pair of riding tights - may not have to develop
calluses on the insides of my knees after all - and I got Hidalgo from my
sister in law.
Would have liked some reflectors, but none of the
local shops seem to carry them so I will need to order
online.
