[RC] Trimming for riding - Ridecamp GuestPlease Reply to: Rene' rene.acker@xxxxxxxxxxx or ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ========================================== My understanding was that the hoof angle should match that of the pastern. When the hoof is flat on the ground and the horse's weight is distributed evenly, the hoof angle and pastern angle should be a straight line with no "bends." I have found this to be true on the front, but the rear tends to have a steeper hoof angle as compared to the angle of the pastern. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
