[RC] kids, rides etc - Ridecamp GuestPlease Reply to: kate kate.kearby@xxxxxxxxxxxxx or ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ========================================== don't get me wrong, horse camp and riding are great family activities. i'm not saying it's ride managers responsiblity, but we've had incidents where kids in camp have caused trouble especially when we are riding on private ranches. and other things... perhaps when a rider sees child neglect they should just call the local child protective services? there's got to be an answer and a middle ground. riders and workers have to sign releases, what release covers the kids? (p.s. the folks with the toddler also had 3 loose dogs wandering around camp, they smelled better than the kid). had a couple of grandparents ask if there would be someone in camp that could keep an eye on their self sufficient well mannered grandsons, everyone thought they must be 10 or so, they were preschoolers, and while folks were out on trail one rode his bike off the handicapp mounting ramp(without a bike helmet)... thank goodness wasn't hurt. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
