Re: [RC] timothy in California. - heidiWow, you guys are lucky. I'm in So. Cal and I pay $19.95/bale plus tax but they love it and it's nice hay so I pay and pay and pay..... Plus, every vet I know says it's the gold standard for horsie health so..... I pay!!!! ;-) Wow, thanks for you all on this thread and those on the farrier cost thread for reminding me why I moved back to Idaho! We may not make any money here, but my farrier charges $50 per shoeing, my top-quality grass hay is $3 to $4 per bale (except we buy it by the ton, so I had to do the math to figure out the bale price), and my taxes on 40 acres and a doublewide run just over $300 per year...
