In California, 15 years ago, it was $20 a bale.  Maybe you should scarf it
up.

Dyane (in far, far northern CA where grass hay is delicious and reasonably
priced -- $120/ton)

I used to grow both timothy and orchard grass hay in my pasture in KY and
it was the best stuff. when I moved here, I had a few bales leftover of it
and the horses in the field would leave the coastal and go fight over the
timothy. It's great stuff. I tried to get some here in TX, but it came
