Re: [RC] trimming for riding - Michelle FinkWell Lori, I am in no mood for a flame war either (it's almost beer-thirty), so I will follow up your post with an apology because your retort appears to slam the equine veterinarian profession. To all the vets out there, I am sorry that this is where the discussion lead. My experience, in particular with distance vets, is that they are an incredibly insightful resource (especially with lameness issues!), and I am so thankful that they are there when we need them. If there's anyone that I expect to understand how the biomechanics, hooves, and shoeing of a particular horse helps or hinders him, it's veterinarians. Uff, I'm done on this topic. I have found my barefoot trimmer(s) to be the most helpful." =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
