Re: [RC] Ways to power a horse trailer? - jspooneQuoting Sisu West Ranch <ranch@xxxxxxxxxxx>: Where to get the power: I installed 3 group 27 deep cycle batteries in my unit. (note these are special for this type of service, normal car/truck batteries are called "LSI" (lighting, starting and ignition) in the trade. They do not last long in deep cycle service. I have been researching everybodies suggestions and was wondering about golf cart batteries? Would they work for something like this and anybody have pros and cons? Also does anybody have specific inverters and batteries that work great? Brands to avoid? Also can anybody point me to or send me a wiring diagram for wiring batteries, inverter and trailer power, also how to hook up the truck to recharge it going down the road. The lights in my trailer already work when the trailer is unhooked so I am guessing some of the wiring is already in place. Thanks guys your all a HUGE help!
