Whether or not one should take it personally as LD Snobbery, clearly it is
a close cousin to the attitudes a growing number of people have these days: "I
am more important than YOU, so get outta my way". i.e., people who roll through
stop signs nearly hitting you; people who ask imepriously to cut in front of ou
in the grocery store line since THEY are "in a hurry"; people who are too busy
yakking on their cell phones to actually SIGNAl and then make SURE the way is
safe (they generally scoot right in to you around here, not even bothering to
signal their stupidity). I always like to pair up common sense and common
courtsey as solutions to a lot of social ill. I think the word "common" is
getting to be a problem.
