Re: [RC] Kids, ponies and distance riding... Get a grip people - JonniWhere does it say in the AERC charter that the AERC is supposed to be a "child welfare agency". That function is a GOVERNMENT responsibility. Lets leave it there. Did *I* say that AERC should be a child welfare agency??? Don't put words in my mouth. I was just responding that someone said, they did not see any children being FORCED to ride rides, and I know otherwise. The other comment was "parents out there think we know our kids pretty well and know what they are capable of ". And I hope that is true within endurance riding, but the point was, some parents do NOT make the best decisions with their children, and the children have no choice. (this is where Howard is yelling at his computer "can anyone say camel jockeys???") ;-) I never said one way or the other, what stand AERC should take. Just bringing up some thoughts to ponder. Not sure why you got so defensive....... Jonni =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
