Re: [RC] Cost of Shoeing - Vallonelee

Here in Yuma there are a lot of shoers that do a so-so job.  They range from $55-75 for a full set of shoes.  Trims are running $30. They may or may not show up on time or at all.

I have a shoer that comes from 60 miles away and charges $100 for a full set and $35 for trims.  He is rarely late, calls the night before to remind me, and is always professional. My shoes stay on even in the worst conditions and my horses are sound and traveling right.
Need I say more ?

".......and God sought to bestow upon man a supreme mark of his blessing. God created the horse. The horse could run faster than the deer, jump higher than the goat, and endure longer than the wolf. Man, being encompassed by elements that sought to destroy him, would have been a slave, had the horse not made him king."
