Re: [RC] Transporting and adapting a horse to a move - Barbara McCraryI had a gelding transported from eastern Montana to central coast California. He hasn't had any trouble with the weather, but he was dumbfounded at huge redwood trees and forests, as he had come from prairie country with nary a tree in sight and the biggest bush - sagebrush knee-high to a horse. Forests confused him at first, especially patches of bright sunlight filtering down through the trees, and rushing creeks, too. I've had him about 19 months and he's just fine now....takes everything in stride. Your horse will adjust, probably better than people do. Everything is looking right for moving. My question is now that I don't own a trailer so would have to find transport from MN to AZ. I am sure this will cost me quite a bit? How hard will it be for my horse to go from trees, gentle ground and winter to hot, dry and cactus and mountains? Would it be easier all around to sell and buy something from AZ? Has anyone has experience with this? Thanks so much! Amy __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! SiteBuilder - Free web site building tool.
