I'm being stubbern, I know. If I wanted to ride someplace, I would! Now, if I truely felt in danger of my life, I'd take appropriate action. I'd start with getting that restraining order. They HAVE threatened; one was directly to the horse and the other was implied to Mary. Like Ed said, once that restraining order is in place, you have evidence that you fear for your safety.
Now, would a judge ask WHY you continued to ride down that road? Probably. My answer would be because it's public access or I had permission and I've got to condition my horse and no other area is easily accessable. WHY should *I* have to give up a freedom because the law protects these people?
No easy answers...I see both sides. But I WOULD carry a gun and not touch it unless I had to.
