RE: [RC] Fwd: [RC] ? dogs in camp - David LeBlancSandyDSA@xxxxxxx said: Take the dogs to the Kennel club shows. You don't see people showing up there with their horses and turning them loose. Loving animals must never take the place of caring about and respecting other people. ------------------------ Our's jumps fences in a single bound, so she comes with us or she'd be running the neighborhood while we're gone. She's not allowed loose, though - she's always supervised. I'm not sure there's a lop-eared mutt category, so I doubt she'd be any more welcome at the Kennel club. BTW, folks ought to get a sense of humor about this - I really liked the approach Steph and John Teeter used at their 5 day ride - if you caught someone else's dog loose, it was $50 to get the dog back! Not sure anyone actually paid up, but we had fun with it, and it did cause people to pay more attention to where their dog was. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
