[RC] safety and riding alone. - Nina VasilievHi everyone, My riding partner is not able to ride very often now, and so I am facing the need to ride alone to condition. I'm having trouble figuring out how to do this safely. My arab is pretty steady now at 12 yr old. But I'm concerned about being out on the trail alone when something goes wrong. Several years ago when I fell off and shattered my shoulder, I also landed on my cell phone and broke it. Luckily, I had a friend with me and she hunted down the rangers, untacked my horse and trailered him home while I went to the ER. I don't think I could have managed without her help...I couldn't have even tied my horse up to a tree, I had to hold my broken arm together with my good arm... I have to trailer at least an hour away for trails. Then I ride where there is very little cell phone coverage. How do you all condition alone? What do you do to make it safer?
