Re: [RC] dogs in camp - SandyDSA

Some people will never be happy no matter what! Some like to find things to complain about. It's not like we all have pit bulls fighting around camp and the horses. At the rides I have been to the few loose dogs I have seen are very well behaved. People enjoy bringing the family dog along. Letting him run now and then should be natural But of course there are some that would like to pass a law or make a rule. Yes dogs sometimes fight get over it, they are dogs that is what they sometimes do.
Just thought I would stir the pot. Cold here nothing else to do.
Yes and people are supposed to know better and behave in a generalyl civilized manner - and that would include not subjecting others to the predilections of their pets. I love my dogs as well, enough to both keep THEM out of harm's way and also to keep them out of other peoples' hair. To imagine that it is appropriate to let one's dogs run loose in a public place is both illegal in most places and exceedingly self-centered. Having any dog snatch my dinner off of my plate at a ride dinner; chasing a dog away as it pees on my HAY; trying to keep my HORSE from decking a loose dog with both hind feet; anyone want to jump in and explain how this could be appropriate? Sorry, but this kind of opinion and position - wow. And from a guest.
