Hello.  I have a question for experienced distance riders:
I'm starting a 6 year old QH mare this winter and trying to decide what 
saddle to invest in for next season.  I don't have a big budget; about $500 
tops.  I plan to start off easy with nothing more than 25 mile rides and 
trail trials.  My ego is sufficiently set aside not to worry about brand or 
looks.  I want something light and comfortable for my mare and durable 
enough to last a few years until I'm convinced I'll be riding distance races 
for years to come and my budget can afford a custome fit saddle.
So, any suggestions?
