[RC] Easyboot EPICS-UPDATE - terry banister

Garrett Ford sent me this reply yesterday, directly from the factory overseas, when he received my report of the results of our testing of the boots at the Turkey Trot this past weekend:

"Terry- Thanks for the feedback.
I have improved the gaiters to prevent ripping in the future.
The reason the boot still has the side plates is because many people will use it
without the gaiter.? Keeping the side plate in the boots gives the boot the
ability to be used with or without the gaiter.

The cotter pin is just an option.? The boots will not come with a cotter pin but
will be suggested for long endurance type rides or on horses who have a tendency
to open buckles.? The nice thing about the cotter pin is that you don't have to
worry about a buckle opening.? They are difficult to remove but there has to be
some tradeoff.

As for making all the parts replaceable like the Marquis.? We could do this but
would also end up with a boot that is over $200.00 per pair like the Marquis.
The Easyboot Epic will be priced at a much more attractive price.? The only part
of the Easyboot that can't currently be replaved by sending them back to us is a
worn out shell.? We can replace or repair everything from buckles, cables, back
straps, etc.? We also sell repair kits for all of these parts.? Most technical
people can apply the parts.

I'm working on the next version of the Epic right now.? It will be much more
streamlined, address some of you and your friends concerns and include many new
ideas I've been working on.?"
