Re: [RC] At the end of my rope.. - heidiI would agree, but, people like Parelli, Anderson, Reis allow people who want to train and better understand their horses a place to start so they don't have to re-invent the wheel. They after all work with thousands of horses, many hours every day, all year long for in some cases such as Tom Dorrance, decades. No way I can hope to develop on my own the insight that guy has/had(?) in his little finger. I can however read and listen to what he and others are willing to pass on and use it with my own knowledge and skill in working with my horses to better understand them. None of these guys are the be all and end all, but they do occassionally have insight that can help an astute owner better understand why their horses do what they do. Sure. But what happens all too often is what DaNel said... Heidi =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
