[RC] horse blankets - Alice YovichBecause my Internet connection has been faulty at best for the past two weeks, I'm sorely behind on all topics on this forum.I'm curious about the number of folks who blanket, as I've always been a "I never blanket" person. I never blanketed even when I had no shelter back in KY. For various reasons I haven't blanketed b/c I didn't own them, they weren't water proof, it wasn't cold enough, etc. however, i'm getting the picture that blankets may have some usefulness. I do blanket now at rides when my horse is forced to be in a pen or tied to the trailer. Last year I made my daughter's pony a blanket with all kinds of embroidery. It's made to work if he's tied up or in a pen, but I doubt it would stand up to the field--I just didn't make it out of the right kind of fabric on the exterior. I think I'm going to have to look into many of these ideas I've been reading about. thanks for the boost. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
