Re: [RC] Horse trailer shopping... - Barbara McCraryIf you live anywhere near the ocean, by all means buy aluminum. The salt air will eat up steel. Hi All, My family is looking into purchasing a 3-Horse Gooseneck horse trailer. We are debating the pros and cons between steel and aluminum. Does anyone have any input? Steel is tempting because it is cheaper (and the extra weight is not an issue since we have a powerful truck), but unfortunately it will rust with time. We will use the bed in front of the trailer to sleep, so how nice is it to have a dressing room separate from the tack room? We are currently looking at a Trails West Sierra. Has anyone ever had a Trails West trailer, and if so, what was your experience like? Anyone's advice or thoughts are appreciated! There are so many options! Happy Thanksgiving, Katie =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
