I was at the Florida Equestrian Festival today and had the honor of meeting Ed 
and Gorgeous George!  It was nice to put faces to names from ridecamp.  And!  
Ed even let me go in and scratch Georges' neck.  He is one nice looking mustang!

As for the equestrian festival, it was great seeing all the top name trainers, 
and getting the opportunity to compare their methods.  I was very impressed 
with Gawani Pony Boy.  He has such a nice quiet way with the horses, and they 
seem to trust him.  I also enjoyed the Ray Hunt seminar.  Both of them had 
great common sense horsemanship, and I think I came away learning 
something...which is the whole point.  Pat Parelli was there, but I think I 
want to see what he can do with the average Joe horse and exactly what these 
"games" are before I jump on that bandwagon.  He didn't show that, he just 
showed us what his horses could do (which was rather impressive).

Overall, it is a great show.  I will be back tomorrow to see the gaited 
horsemanship class and Curt Pate and Lynn Palm.  I also saw the synergist 
saddles, and think I'll have to save my pennies.  They are nice!

Juli and Alpine (who didn't get to go cause I'm stuck in a sand lot recovering 
from grass founder...who'd have thunk it in November, just cause he hasn't been 
on grass in years)
