This system also meets code. It was
very common when GFCI's were new and expensive. Now the GFCI that
fits into the socket box is much cheaper and more common. Note: that with
proper wiring a box GFCI can protect other outlets on the downstream side of the
circuit. The manufacturer provides stickers for the electrician to put on
the other outlets.
