Re: [RC] Ideal location to live... College and horses - Sisu West RanchThere is another consideration. When I went to college I did not know I liked horses, if I had I would have changed my goals a bit. Some jobs are more portable than others. If you like to ride, you will probably be happiest in a sparcely populated rural area. If that is the case you most likely will not earn as much as you would in a big city, but there are other considerations. Sometimes it takes some thought. For example: I like science, and practical things so I went to a graduate school that would prepare me to be an industrial chemist. Unfortunately, this meant I needed to live near a rather large city. If I had known about my love of horses, I would have gone to a different school, and prepared myself to be a Chemistry Professor. There are colleges in rural areas. Many other fields of study allow for similar choices.
