RE: [RC] Rude Rider at Lake Oroville - Witty replies - Charles

This is one of those times where the rider should have some witty reply
ready. I'll see what I can think up, but I'm sure other folks will have
better ones.

Charles

1) Your right, I'm glad I'm taking my time.
2) I want to enjoy it over there too
3) I hear the view up ahead is spectacular and I don't want to miss it.
4) I guess I enjoy things faster than you
5) Are you a slow reader too? (this one needs some work, but it's based on
slowing down your reading speed when you're coming to the end of a book you
really like
6) Oh, I'd love to talk about speed after I finish this ride
7) Shame you had to ruin it.
8) My horse loves to see what is up ahead.
9) I'm enduring this ride and the sooner it's over the sooner I can enjoy
this marvelous day.
10) My horse really has to go, and is embarrassed to go out here.
11) I'm not in a hurry, it's just that I hate breathing trail dust.
12) I guess I could go slower, but then I'd just get in your way

Or, "Enjoy"

==========================================

It all started with good intentions to have Lake Oroville be my mare's first
50. BUT unfortunaly she dinged herself in the trailer on the way there and I
opted to return home.

My girlfriend did start the 50 mile ride and had a wonerful day. There was
an encouter she had that really irritates me. In the last 5 miles of the
ride she and another friend encountered a group of 30 mile riders on single
track and asked for trail to pass. As they passed my friend said "Isn't it a
beautiful day?" and the response by one of the riders was "Yeah, for those
of us going slow enough to enjoy it!"
Why is it necessary to poop on someone being polite. Aren't we all out there
to enjoy beautiful country on an amazing animal. That is what I love about
this sport there are so many different levels to compete in. Why make a mean
comment to someone doing something different then you! Please be nice to
people being friendly to you and if there being rude tear them a new one.
Koylynn
