Re: [RC] [RC] Name for Arab - Maryanne Stroud GabbaniI'll check with some of my more erudite friends. Arabic is a complicated language. I have a gelding named Nazeer, which means "far-seeing one", and he is a total tourist. I just liked the name and he grew into it. Another one was named Nayzak by a good friend of mine who has since died, it means "meteor". As a foal, he was a ball of fire, but as he matured he developed an antipathy for sand....not the greatest attribute in an endurance horse in a country where all the races are held in the desert. LOL His mom also regarded the desert with some disdain, always seemed concerned that she'd break a nail or something. Over the years, I've learned that these horses are not dumb. Our desert can be lethal to legs.I'll get back with the names.
