Paddi at Canadian Trail House can design (with your input) and make
whatever you want.
A couple of years ago I had to ride where there was some gun hunting, and I
felt that my horse and I needed A LOT of blaze orange. Paddi made me a
rump rug made of textilene (sp? the same stuff used for fly sheets) but in
blaze, and with reflective strips. The friend who I board with now jokes
that even in the woods we could be spotted by helicopter.
Cindy,
who keeps meaning to have someone take a photo of Jack in his blaze rump
rug so Paddi can add it to her web photos.

I've gotten a couple inquiries on this...I got my rump rug from Candadian
Tacker, and it is wonderful. My only complaint is I'd like one not quite
so warm for when we get rain in the summer. What I've been doing in that
case is keeping it down at camp until we start trotting, then rolling it
up. But I'd like to find something waterproof with a "fishnet" type
lining. Otherwise, the polarfleece lining is great for those horrible
raw, cold, snowy/rainy days we get in Minnesota during the spring and
fall.
