If a block is 2', then two blocks on each end would then be 4', or is my math lacking here?

Have you notice an ad in the recent EN for a tack company?  One of the pictures in this ad is of a horse and rider jumping "4 1/2 feet" in this saddle.  However, the poles are set up on Blocs, two on each end.  The Blocs are assembled in a "T" formation.  A Bloc is 2' high and 6" thick.  So, the jump is only 2 1/2 feet high. 
 
I'm hoping that the horse and rider did jump a 4 1/2 foot jump in that saddle but the picture didn't turn out so they just used this picture instead.
