Re: [RC] [RC] WEIGHT DIVISIONS - Kristen A FisherIt is a good point, however, to note that another equine sport has a precedent of weighing rider and tack. And adding weight to saddle pads for some races based on horse age, etc - like FEI.It goes back to what everyone LOVEs to say about Rule 13 - intent. Is the intent to represent what the horse carried? That's the way I understood it - weight carried represents the workload of the horse compared to other horses with like workload. Not too many different weight categories on the flat track. And, I have yet to see one jockey riding in a flat track race with a water bottle attached to his 3 lb saddle. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
