Re: [RC] [RC] beet pulp and molassas - DreamweaverAlso, it should be noted that just because the label says something doesn't mean it is so. For example, the Farmer's Feed brand of molasses that I had been buying, does not list molasses as an ingredient anywhere on it. Not on the bag, not on the tag. yet, their nutritionist said that it most definitely has molasses and that the % can vary considerably from batch to batch, anywhere from a few % to over 16%. I already had kinda figured that out based upon the results I had from my horse <g>. I now try to buy certain brands that contain no molasses, or if I notice that the water that soaks the molasses is really dark I'll rinse, sometimes it takes two or three times to rinse it clear. It does make a difference in two of my horses, it's not that a normal amount on a daily feeding would affect them so much as it is that when they are doing rides they are getting fed considerably more of it.Karen in NV =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
