Re: [RC] selenium test results? - heidiMy gelding?s selenium test results came back and I don?t know how to interpret them for an endurance horse . . . could I get some help please . . . he is 0.158 ppm The paperwork says that normal is 0.08 ? 0.5 ppm Don't rely on the paperwork's "normals." Your horse is borderline deficient. At the level you state, he will likely respond fine to oral supplementation--I'd try supplementing at least 2-4 mg per day for a couple of months, and then retest. You want his levels to be between .200 and .250 ppm. Heidi =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
