Fw: [RC] UAE - Faustina Duffy

FWIW, I think Tim has hit on a VERY good point.  How many times do you think we can use Howard's name before they notice?? <grin!>

The Sheik has the money and influence to set an example-can we provide incentive?  Let's face it-if we automatically assume that he is "a Bad Man" and responsible for this, we will both offend him and most likely make him stubborn....if we can approach him as someone we think can make a change (and give him an chance of painting himself as a hero by initiating said change) then we could see a powerful man turn his influence to righting this wrong.  (I personally have NO idea whether he is or isn't aware of what is going on...I just feel that before we brand him as "evil" we should see if he can be encouraged to "look to his own house" and HELP).  Great idea, Tim!

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum has a website:

E-mailed his offices, very politely, in English.  A minion might even reply.  For all I know,  he might have already heard about the bad pub and taken some positive steps.  Bad publicity is anathema to the rich and powerful (who pretty much have their own culture).  Seems to me a PR person worth their petrodollars is going to advise denial but quietly send those under-aged  kids back home with a couple bucks in their pockets and hire anew by their own current laws.

Totally naive.  But I did use Howard's name and address, lest there be untoward repercussions :)
