According to U.C. Davis, 5-10 leaves can kill a horse, and 10-20 can kill cattle. IT's getting off topic, but if anyone wants to privately email me, I can give a list of suggestions for alternatives to Oleander for planting in California, that are better landscape plants, drought tolerant and NOT POISONOUS.
