[RC] CTR Rules and 50 mile Endurance - Antonio_CorbellettaIf your horse has been consistently doing CTR's, of 40 miles over two days he should be fine doing a 50 endurance. As long as he has had not problems and has finished the CTR's strong. Two of our horses were started in NATRC Open division and moved right up to 50's after a season or two. The other I started in AERC and did LD's a few times before going up to the 50's. Just keep the speed down and go out only to finish and you should be fine. Doing a 25 on him after lots of CTR's would not be productive IMO. Nothing wrong with the LD's but if you have been going longer, why not a 50?
