Re: [RC] CTR Rules - Chris PausWell, I think where there are alternative CTR organizations the concept is alive and well. NATRC seems to flourish here in Kansas, but so does MOTDRA, which offers a 1 day format with a lot less rules. It's basically treated at a timed ride for best condition. I think UMECRA does pretty well with its CTR format also. I think if you like CTR, you need to offer a format that is easy to understand, a pace that is fun to ride, and venues that riders want to ride... and they'll come...In a lot of ways, CTR is a good training ground for endurance. chris --- Truman Prevatt <tprevatt@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: That's good old American capitalism at work. Given two options, people choose the one they perfered. The CTR folks evidently didn't refine their product to be more attractive so it just faded away. I must say in FL the CTR organization has done a wonderful job evolving with the demands of the riders and with new knowledge and because of that - the CTR in FL is thriving.
