I'm finishing up my presentation at Rutgers for
next Friday with data still coming in from the lab. Yikes, I made timothy hay
that is 31% sugar and fructan! Hope to meet some of you. We're
going to learn all about sugar in forage, and too much sugar in horses.
Also toxic plants in the region, and more good pasture managment topics.
Those of you in the NE region with horse pasture will really benefit from
this seminar, and your attendance will tell the Powers That Be, that we are
concerned about too much carbs in our grass and hay. Hopefully the summitt
meeting on Saturday will generate some cooperative research on horse specific
forage issues. If enough people make their needs be known.
