MISS COURTNEY,
            At this point, your desire has been heard.
As the Gerhards know, I am not judging you on your ability
or experience. I know from my own experience that very few 
people ride through TEVIS alone.Hopefully, someday you will
know.
            I do believe, the last I checked, that there is 
an insurance issue regarding those that are minors.i.e.HORSE CUTS ITS LEG, 
NEEDS TREATMENT(THEY NEED RESPONSIBLE DECISION
BY ONE ACCEPTING RESPOSIBILITY FOR SAID ACTION).i.e. said minor 
, gets hurt. Whom is responsible for said treatment. I could go
on and on.
            There are so many places that ADULTS HAVE TO MAKE 
decisions, and they have to be ADULT DECISIONS.(LEGALLY).This,
Courtney, is not age discrimination. It is how it is. YOU ARE
NOT OF LEGAL(U.S.A.) AGE TO MAKE THIS KIND OF DECISION FOR YOURSELF OR ANYONE 
YOU ARE RIDING WITH!
           If TEVIS is a dream, than ride it with a sponsor
and next TEVIS show us how much better you can do without a sponsor! Good Luck.
