Amen and amen again.  Anaphylactic shock is a result of hypersentitivity to
a substance (bees, latex, peanuts, shellfish) and the patient can die
really quickly. While we can do a good job of preventing contact with latex
and other allergens, bees just aren't predictable.

A few years ago a  woman came into the little country store near  here to
use the phone because she had been stung by a bee.  She collapsed and died
before help arrived.

Please, please if you're supposed to be carrying en Epi-Pen or benadryl,
have it in your cantle pack or pocket and let the folks you ride with know
not only that you have it but what they should do if you need help
administering it.
