RE: [RC] Skyhorse saddle - Ranelle RubinI just checked it out..and boy am I glad I did..It looks even better than the original. I am glad to see this design has not been lost as it has worked so well for me and so many horses..I even know a Podium dealer who wanted one after seeing how well it fit one of their harder to fit horses that I had in training. I do have a problem with one size fits all in terms of rider though. I have a 15" and a 16" (western type sizing) and they are very different. My butt fits the 16" only with a fleece cover, otherwise it is too "sloppy". The 15" fits me well without a cover and only fits my 11yr old son with a cover. So if you have an experience with it feeling "sloppy", try a fleece cover..Jan's Saddle covers makes one that fits. Great news! Google the company, and look under the "Classic Saddles" headline, 8th one down from the top.I have not tried it, but am very curious about this saddle. I seems like it is as close to treeless as possible, but still has a "rise" for the rider's pelvis, and security with the poleys. Hope this helps someone who is looking for one....Natalie Here is their description: The Skyrider revisits, a saddle made famous during the early days of Endurance racing, when it was manufactured by the Skyhorse Saddle Company of Durango, Colorado. ?It is now being produced under license by The Australian Stock Saddle Co., of Malibu, California. ?The Saddle has unique swivel bars that make it easy to fit almost any horse.
