[RC] Dismounting - GarnerTI've put this on ride camp before, but I had a very short friend 5' on a good day who had a very tall horse 16+. She would use an overturned bucket to mount & dismount (yes I know it's not safe - I didn't use it!). One afternoon when dismounting, her shirt got caught on the saddle horn. As she hung there, her horse started to shift & move. After weighing her options (none), she lifted her arms straight up & slid out of her shirt. The good part of this experience is that there were an unusual number of people at the boarding facility that day: 2 or 3 horse shoers, 1 vet, several riders, and some gardeners that were all treated to her display. It was a riot. BTW, these types of accidents are why I ride with underwear on! I got home from my training ride Saturday with my crotch blown out somehow. It wasn't near as exciting as Rhonda, but there I was...showing my white chones off! I hate to sew, but I'm doing Davenport Dare next week, they're my best pair of tights, so I guess I'll have to fix them!
