Here is the rule for qualifications.. right off the Tevis page..

 

3. Riders must be qualified by having completed distance-riding competition. For

participation in the 2003 and subsequent Rides, you are qualified if you have

completed 150 miles of competition in AERC, NATRC, or foreign equivalent

rides of 50 miles or longer or you have completed The Tevis Cup Ride. (Note

that required mileage may be increased for future years.) If you are not qualified

by the time the Ride fills, you will be placed on the waiting list.

 

I want to do the Tevis someday.. maybe in 10 years or so.. (have to be realistic! hehe)  So perhaps by then Courtney can sponsor me?
