Re: [RC] GPS units - Paul Latiolais

I use a Garmin and like the "map" feature, which I assume the Timex does not have. It is easier to see at a glance where you wrt to ridecamp.

The Garmin IS harder to use, in that you have to "take it out" to look at it. I have tried hanging it on my neck. That does not work. AND putting it in a pocket reduces its connection capability. My sense is that the Timex is better at staying connected to the satellites because of that.

I put the Horse-O-Meter on twice, but never got around to figuring out how to use it.
I used the Timex for a couple of months, but frequently forgot to turn it on, or replace the batteries when they died, and did not like wearing two pieces on my arm or saddle. My understanding is that the Timex uses the same GPS technology as the Garmin, but I end up using the Garmin because it is one piece.
So I would like to sell the Horse-O-Meter and the Timex.
