Re: [RC] GPS units - Paul LatiolaisI use a Garmin and like the "map" feature, which I assume the Timex does not have. It is easier to see at a glance where you wrt to ridecamp. The Garmin IS harder to use, in that you have to "take it out" to look at it. I have tried hanging it on my neck. That does not work. AND putting it in a pocket reduces its connection capability. My sense is that the Timex is better at staying connected to the satellites because of that. -Paul On Friday, October 8, 2004, at 09:50 AM, terry banister wrote: I bought the Timex Ironman, The Horse-O-Meter and the Garmin Forerunner (shopaholic). =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
