Provo is like that too. I don't know who taught him to sidle up to mounting blocks (not me), but he'll do it perfectly for an *off-side* mount. Try and persuade him to line up on the other side, and you'll be standing there a long time as he wriggles around and stands too far away. The result of this, is that I mount/dismount from the off-side most of the time (and frequently have to stop and think which side is the 'normal' side people mount from). Youngster Zini is not nearly as accommodating in terms of her mounting-block-sidling abilities, so we will be spending some time doing the exercise Nina describes to encourage this important of skills ;-) (BTW, Nina, congrats on moving to your land!) * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Lucy Chaplin Trumbull elsietee AT foothill DOT net Repotted english person in the Sierra foothills, California * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
