I've been told I'm a decent rider but can't get pst this "arab fear." OK...now go ahead and laugh at me!
Fear is never funny.  When I broke my ribs last week it was off my Spotted Saddle Horse.  The worst injury I ever had was off a mule with 3,000+ miles.  My arab mare is probably the safest horse I have.  Most people on the trail think she is a really pretty quarter horse.  She is built like one of the old time quarter horses with a pretty head, not really too typey arab......The worst thing is that "accidents" happen.  Who would have figured that both stirrups would break at the same time at the same place.  I could not believe it when I saw my saddle last night.  Both stirrups are still in place but the bottom half is missing on each one.  I did not have a snowball's chance in hell of staying on that horse.................mb
