I'n not a vet,
however, I have read that birds & their droppings should be kept away from
the horse's living area & feed. Unfortunately, it was a year or so ago,
& I can't remember the publication. May have been a John Lyons newsletter. I
used the fly predators this year & it made a big dent in the fly
population..

There was an interesting article regarding chickens &
their possible tie-in with respiratory disease in horses. Since we
moved, we have not had time to build a chicken house & I am now
rethinking the whole idea.
