Thanks for all the people who listened to my whinings...!  Update on ill
student.  Cancer/brain tumors have been ruled out.  The stroke is still a
possibility, but he is out of the hospital for now.  He was able to come to
school for a hug Friday, but looked frail & out of it.  He had encephalitis.
They are looking at the West Nile Virus as a cause.  We did have a dead bird
test positive on our school site.  He has lesions throughout his brain, and
will probably have on-going problems because of this.  I still am going to
keep in my class if at all possible & just deal with difficulties.

My whole class has been wonderful in dealing with this situation -
compassionate & caring for this child.  It does give one hope for the
future!
