[RC] TurboKool AC - Patti KuvikWhat makes it sound really neat is that it's SOLAR - no electricity or generator needed. Just a gentle hum and water trickle to lull you to sleep (as long as the humidity's less than 75%). Swamp coolers can get downright chilly - I've spent most of the summer sleeping under a comforter with my swamp cooler in Tucson area except for a few really humid nights during monsoon season. Then just shut off the water and use it like a big fan. (Course if I got my house AC fixed...) And the wet filters really do cut down on dust and allergans. I also put up a water mister in my barn this summer - horses loved it and made for a cooling down spot for me when I had to do outside chores in 105+. They work well in dry and desert areas, but are completely useless in humid areas.
