Re: [RC] Mt. St. Helens - heidiOk, yes, Mt. St. Helens is the volcano/mtn. I was posting about! Sorry I forgot to put the name on, but figured you all would know what I was talking about!! :) Anyways, about 1.5 hours ago, she blew about a 9000 foot steam and ash plume. Nothing to worry about so far, they seem to think it will stay steam/ash and maybe due to the time of the year, shouldn't be any mud slides, or at least not to the prior extent. There is still earthquake activity, some of the forest service roads up higher are closed (according to the Skamania county assessors office, who I spoke to earlier) but if it stays this way, I'll still trailer up and ride near the base on Sunday!! One of my all time favorite places to ride! BUT, I will take my camera, as one trail goes by a great view shot!!!
