I got
a forerunner from Amazon.com for $114.00 free shipping. GPS 's are not accurate
in the timber because they cannot "see' the satellite. So when it losses you
then picks you back up it draws a straight line from the points and puts that in
as the mileage. So you have always gone father then it says you
have.

VS Timex Bodylink
I was going to order the Forerunner today
and in checking for a best price came across a C-NET review which indicated if
you're using it under the trees, you won't get accurate results and the Timex
Ironman Triathlon Bodylink was recommended instead. Does anyone use the
Timex? I found it for $175 (speed & distance only model), quite a bit more
than the forerunner, but if it will work under the trees, then it may be worth
the price. Let me know what you think. The family's getting it for my birthday
which is coming right up. Of course, my hubby & son plan on sharing it for
the biking as well.(:>)
