It is not endurance riding...  there are NO vet checks. It is just a movie

Angie, you always 'tell it like it is' and your summation of Hidalgo was
accurate IMHO.  So very long, predictable and boring. . . had trouble
staying awake, except for laughing hysterically at the improbability of it
happening.  But it's sad that many will see it as an example of endurance
riding, and will believe that the turn out scene was doing the horse a
favor.

Oh my...I finally saw Hidalgo last night.. I watch the first 5
